Risen Lord Montessori School opened its doors in September of 2004 in response to the obvious need for Montessori schools on the southside.  As Maria Montessori said, "If houses for children do not exist then let us build them."  RLMS meets a unique need in the community as not only one of the few Montessori schools on the southside, but also one of the only Christian Montessori schools in the metropolitan Indianapolis area.  Housed within Risen Lord Lutheran Church as one of its ministries, the school has the full support of a dynamic and growing church.

The teachers are committed to loving each child as God loves them, unconditionally and without fail.  Within this atmosphere of Christian love, children will learn about respect for the Lord, one another, the materials, and the world.  As a Christian Montessori school, emphasis will be placed on what children can give to those in need in the local and global communities.
